OUR PHILOSOPHY

"Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be. If we do our best, we are a success."

- Zig Ziglar

ORGANIZATION > TEAM > TEAMMATES > SELF

The iM3 philosophy was created in 2004 to promote team camaraderie. Players in the iM3 Lacrosse program learn teamwork by placing the interests of the ORGANIZATION first, their TEAM and TEAMMATES second, and their OWN personal interests last. By doing so, iM3 Lacrosse creates an environment where our athletes learn to care as much about those around them as they do themselves. Our philosophy creates a strong bond amongst players, and more importantly, teaches a life-long lesson that creates off-field success for future endeavors.

OPPORTUNITY & GROWTH

The athletic business world has grown tremendously over the past decade, especially with lacrosse. Like any growth, it comes with positive and negative aspects. There is no doubt that club lacrosse has opened the door of opportunity for players, however many clubs are now marketing that your future success hinges on playing in their program. As a college coach, I can assure you that this theory is simply not true. We, college coaches, recruit players from all high schools and all club programs, not just a select few.

BUILDING BETTER ATHLETES

At iM3 Lacrosse, we won't make you a promise that can't be upheld. We are a process-based organization, not outcome-based. While everyone who participates in athletics desires to win, we don't believe that the scoreboard defines a player's ability. At iM3 Lacrosse, we're not interested in building a bigger program; our interest is in building better athletes. We promise to provide quality teaching that allows each player to improve their skill set, athleticism and playing ability. Once a player reaches recruitment age, our experienced staff will provide guidance and assistance in reaching future goals.

OPTIMAL CLUB EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE

At iM3 Lacrosse, we believe in the '99'. Ninety Nine is on our apparel, and we break every huddle with a '99' chant. What does it mean? Ninety Nine means that iM3 Lacrosse is not focused solely on the 1% of our players. This doesn't mean that we will not foster and develop Division 1 lacrosse players. On the contrary, the iM3 Lacrosse program and coaching staff will work with every player to grow to their greatest potential and fulfill their dreams by playing lacrosse at the Division 1, 2 and 3 levels. Focusing on the '99' allows us at iM3 Lacrosse to provide every player with the optimal club experience.

WHY NINETY-NINE?

As a college coach, I routinely receive information from club programs about the number of "D1 athletes" their programs create. However, when I started the iM3 Lacrosse program in 2016, only 1% of all high school players advanced to the Division 1 level and the average scholarship for a Division 1 lacrosse player was approximately $12,000. For most schools, that's less than a quarter scholarship. I believe this misleading marketing approach has caused many parents and players to choose club programs under false pretense. As a Club Director, I knew that I would not incorporate the same common theme sold to parents and players by other clubs. I made a commitment that selling the 1% would not be the emphasis of iM3 Lacrosse.
